About myself and a bit of rambling.

Career Machininst, 3rd generation.  One of the very few left? I have met only one other.

Let me start by quoting a phrase that was spoken to me by my original mentor and fathers business partner Jim Ward in 1981:
"Victor, if you can set-up a pre-ww2 Brown and Sharp (Browne&Sharpe) automatic screw machine you can do anything in manufacturing". My experience over the last 29.9 years has proven this statement to be true:). This blog was partially inspired by todays economy as I am currently looking for work. I left a perfectly good job in CA to get back to a more country oriented lifestyle in AZ. I am now content to accept a position in any part of the US.
I believe specialization is an affront to humanity. Why?
"Because we are the ultimate Generalists, and that means each and every one of us has the intellect and memory capacity to specialize in EVERYTHING. What holds us back is the ponderous and expensive nature of our educational systems."
